The samusocial ‘intervention method’ reaches out to those most excluded from society and offers them immediate and essential care. The method was created in 1993 by Dr. Xavier Emmanuelli and is characterized by regularity, mobility, professionalism and versatility. It consists of the following steps: - using Mobile Aid Units to reach the most excluded in society; - making first contact; - making a diagnosis; - giving required primary physical and psychological healthcare; - giving personal guidance to and support in the most appropriate follow on care; - forming a lasting social link with the client to ensure long-term physical, psychological and social rehabilitation. samusocial works to encourage people off the streets and to return to ‘normal life’. The foundation therefore provides people with information about rights, rules and life opportunities, which is essential for turning their life around. The provision of effective help to socially excluded people depends on partnerships between civil and state institutions and organizations. In 2012 samusocialMoskva is working with the Department for Social Assistance to the Homeless to implement a program for the exchange of best practices between French and Russian experts in the social sector. |
